It began with Biggles…
In 2013, our founder, Danielle, was on a mission to find a winter coat for her Golden Retriever, Biggles. She wanted one that didn’t hold the dreaded doggy-smell, particularly since Biggles loved swimming in the farm dam. Long story short, Danielle couldn’t find one; at least one that looked nice and was affordable.
Dog-tired of existing, poorly-made doggy coats, she decided to create her own. After much research and many prototypes using odour-resistant technologies, Danielle designed and perfected the perfect coat for Biggles.

In 2014, Danielle’s pet apparel range was officially launched in Australia and Huskimo was brought to life. Inspired by Australia’s vivid colours and captivating landscapes, the range was a huge hit; we were truly honoured and humbled to see success so early in the Huskimo journey! This success was quickly followed up by requests for more dog gear, so we launched a beautiful matching range of collars and leads in 2015.
Our collections soon expanded to New Zealand, and now we’re proud to share Huskimo — and Australia — with the world.

“Living on a farm in the beautiful South West of Western Australia, animals and nature have always been a big part of my life. Wrapped up in Australia’s organic landscapes and beautiful earthy colours, Huskimo allows me to blend my two loves — dogs and design — to deliver something truly unique to dog-lovers around the world.
What started as a small passion project for my Golden Retriever, Biggles, has quickly expanded into a flourishing business. It’s a joy to create and share quality dog products with you, and I hope you love Huskimo as much as I do!”
